Step 1
Tell us about your home

You answer some very simple questions about your home. We tell you what a heat pump would likely cost and what it means for you.

Create an account

You decide if you want to go ahead to the next step, and if you do, create an account and log in.

Find installers

You refine any assumptions we've made - if you want to - and agree to share information with 3 local, trusted installers.

Step 2
Choose your installer

Up to three installers will provide you with an initial estimate based on the specific products they are accredited to install, and their own costs.

Compare price estimates

We present all the information in an easy to compare format, and you decide if you want to proceed. Take as much time as you need, we won't pressure you to progress!

Share photos

Once you've looked at all the details and you're happy pick the installer that you'd like to go forward with in principle we'll ask you to provide a handful of photos of your home. These will be reviewed by the installer, who will then confirm back that they can proceed.

Step 3
Survey and contract

Go to the calendar and select a survey slot provided by your installer to book a home survey. A survey generally takes a couple of hours and will allow the installer to provide you with a final quotation for your heat pump.

Review quotation

After the survey, you'll get a confirmed and final quotation, alongside all the relevant documentation and calculations required by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme. Now's also the time to sort out any finance if you need it - and we provide further information on this on Thermly.

Sign contracts

Contracts are signed on the platform, and you'll have a full record of what's happened and when. You still have a cooling off period of 2 weeks - choose to waive this, or wait it out, it's up to you.

Step 4
Installation

After the cooling off period, the next steps kick off: your deposit becomes due, the installer makes an application to the network, and the application for the government's grant of £7,500 is made.

Deposit payment

You'll pay your deposit via Thermly. We arrange payment with your chosen installer at the right point, who then buys the equipment and materials.

Book your installation

You'll receive an email inviting you to book an installation date via your Thermly calendar. Installation will take up to five days depending on complexity, although typically it is less.

Step 5
Completion & Aftercare

Once the installation process is complete, the majority of your completion documentation is uploaded to your account by the installer.

Settle up

Your final, balancing payment will then become due, and once this is received, you'll receive your final warranty documentation.

Documentation

We'll keep everything in one place - from warranty documents to invoices - accessible whenever you need it, and downloadable should you require. In the event anything needs sorting, all the contact details you need and processes can be found on Thermly.
